We have begun to expand our Caring 4 Young Families outreach to single parents by offering classes using The Parenting Journey™ curriculum. C4 Young Families also offers education and ministry to families for the prevention of child abuse, particularly through shaken baby syndrome education using materials provided by The Cynthia Gibbs Foundation.
We have also begun to more actively educate on the option of adoption for women during pregnancy. We use resources from Bethany Christian Services, the National Council for Adoption and Bravelove to help individuals and families learn how adoption has changed, best practices when sharing about adoption and how to come around a woman working through an adoption plan. We believe infant adoption chosen by the mother is a beautiful form of parenting that should at least be considered when facing an unplanned pregnancy. We desire to help every woman who comes to us for service and support to have opportunity to work through a fully informed choice for themselves and their child[ren].
We are hosting family building events to create opportunities to deepen connection in family relationships by offering events such as Daddy Daughter Date Nite, Family Fun Fest and the Birthmother Breakfast.
Through our relationship with Heartbeat International and The National Maternity Housing Coalition we are consulting, supporting and encouraging others world wide who are developing maternity and mother/child housing programs. It is our goal to extend what we have learned over 40 years of serving to provide encouragement, support and resources to housing programs around the globe.
Through our collaboration with the American Pregnancy Association, we are providing education and support to the expecting mothers in our program with the goal of creating positive pregnancy outcomes.
